Our instructors love working with adults and breaking through the glass ceiling, either mastering a new instrument or trying them all. Our instructors are multi-instrumentalist and can help you find the instrument you love, then keep you accountable as the rehearsals and gigs approach.

One of the most exciting aspects of our adult music lesson program is helping beginner musicians find likeminded individuals to start a band. Bonus points if they actually show up for rehearsals! Not only do we handpick bands according to students age, instruments, and musical preferences, but we also consider if we think they'll 'click'. It's not uncommon for bandmates to become good friends and meet for a hang outside of the studio. Mission success.

Every adult student reacts the same when we ask about participating in the upcoming gig; a nervous laugh followed by, 'I don't think I'll be ready'. Our instructors thrive off proving you wrong! Most songs are just repeating patterns, and it's easier than you think. If you're willing to practice a little bit each day, we guarantee you'll be ready for rehearsals and the show. The bonds that are formed between adults after they play their first show together is electric. Once you get a taste, you won't wan't to quit.

After a handful of gigs, many student bands crave more stage time. The cool part about the adult gigs is that you can stay out late! Thanks to our many community collaborators, we're able to book our student bands at a variety of local venues, creating some very fun events that you won't forget (probably won't forget). Our dream for each band is that we are able to build repertoire and confidence up to the point that bands can book their own gigs, tours, and take over the world. Until then, join our program and experience the pure joy that having a musical community can bring to your life.

" Music on Magnolia provides a safe, fun way for kids to explore music and instruments. The teachers meet kids where they are, giving lessons and assignments appropriate to the age and ability of the students. The lessons aren't limited to traditional classical instruction. The ‘recitals’ are actually shows at local venues. The kids team up to form bands and play pop/rock/country songs in a real music venue, for a real audience. My son loves it! "
